One phone, on the table between you.
The screen splits in two, and the top half is turned around so the other person can read it from their side. While one of you speaks, the other side waits with a pause sign, so you never talk over each other.

Let go, and it’s translated.
Tradio listens and writes down your words for as long as you hold. When you let go, the translation appears on the other side and is read aloud. Prefer quiet? Turn the voice off and read.
Numbers you can check
Times, prices and numbers, in digits.
Any time, price or number you say shows up as digits on both sides. If a number changes in translation, Tradio flags it, so “€13” never quietly becomes “€30”.
No connection needed
Works in airplane mode.
Speech recognition, translation and voice all run on your phone. Everything it needs downloads once, the first time you open it. After that, you don’t need the internet.
