Privacy Policy

Who we are

Tradio is made by Luteg Software Technologies (“we”, “us”). We are the controller under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for any personal data we process. Because the company is based in Türkiye, Turkish data protection law (KVKK, Law No. 6698) applies to us as well.

The app is built so that it doesn’t send us personal data. In practice, the only personal data we handle is what you choose to send us by email.

Your conversations

The microphone is only on while you press and hold your panel. What you say is turned into text on your phone by Apple’s on-device speech recognition, translated on your phone (by iOS translation, or by the advanced translation model if you’ve downloaded it) and read aloud on your phone.

• No audio or conversation text is stored, and there’s no history. Only the latest exchange is on screen.
• Nothing from your conversations is sent to us or to anyone else.

What stays on your phone

• Settings: your languages, voice and reading speed, and translation engine.
• Daily free translation counter (the date and a count) and whether you’ve unlocked unlimited translations. These are kept in the iOS Keychain, tied to this device and not synced.
• Downloaded models: stored in the app’s own folder and excluded from backups.

We can’t see any of this. Deleting the app deletes all of it.

When Tradio goes online

Tradio only uses the internet in the cases below, and none of them carries anything you say:

• Model downloads. The voice model and the optional advanced translation model are downloaded from Apple. As with any download, their server sees your IP address.
• Language packs. iOS downloads these from Apple. Tradio only asks iOS for them.
• Purchases and restores. These go through the App Store and are handled by Apple. We never see your payment details.

Permissions

• Microphone and speech recognition: so Tradio can hear you and write down what you say. It only listens while you hold.
• Notifications (optional): to let you know a download has finished. They’re created on your phone.

You can turn any of these off at any time in iOS Settings.

What Tradio doesn’t have

No account, no ads, no analytics, no crash-reporting tools, no tracking, and we don’t sell data. The App Store privacy label for Tradio is Data Not Collected.

If you email us

If you write to us, we use your email address and message only to reply to you. We keep them only as long as we need to for that, and you can ask us to delete them at any time.

Your rights

Under the GDPR (and KVKK), you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive it in a portable format. In practice, this only ever concerns emails you’ve sent us. To use any of these rights, email hello@luteg.com.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Children

Tradio doesn’t collect personal data from anyone, and that includes children.

This website

gettradio.app is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. The site has no analytics, no ads, no external fonts and no tracking.

If you choose a language from the language menu, we remember your choice for one year in a first-party cookie called tradio_lang. We don’t use any other cookies.

Your appearance choice (auto, dark, light) isn’t a cookie. It stays in your own browser and never reaches us.

Changes and contact

If we update this policy, we’ll publish the new version on this page with a new effective date.
